Angie Taylor and Kinetic Typography

"My understanding of kinetic typography is that the words should be used to convey moods or feelings, they don’t need to be the message, they are just there to support it. My feeling is that the words should echo the spoken words rather than simply repeat what’s being said."

The words on screen should support the message. Therefore when writing a script or using an excerpt from elsewhere, I need to connect with the meaning of it. The text should echo my response and feelings to the text itself.

Nick the Greek

Again, I feel this is a great example of kinetic typography. The words are synchronised perfectly with the movement on screen, and the effects and text have been specifically chosen to meet the represent a certain emotion of the dialogue.

The Hush Sound

A great example of kinetic typography and effective design.
